What is Corefarm?
Corefarm is a place where you can exchange CPU power for 3D rendering. It has been designed to be the proof of concept for Naclgrid, a desktop grid engine. Using a desktop grid, middle sized businesses can reach a significant amount of computing power and thus serve their customers faster.
As an example, this image was rendered in 6 minutes on the grid, while it would have required 70 minutes to complete on a single computer.
The 20th of February, 2010, a new flavor of the corefarm appeared : wosoggie. Learn more.
Naclys, the latest client for the Corefarm is released under the GPLv3 licence. You can browse its source on Google Code.
